A 19-year-old woman has died following a two-car collision in Suffolk, prompting a tribute from her family.

Crash details

Emergency services were called at 10:15 am on Sunday to Debenham Road in Little Stonham after a red Peugeot 107 and a silver Volkswagen Passat collided. Two teenagers travelling in the Peugeot died; the driver, Amelia Miller, 19, of Stowmarket, was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge where she later died. Her male passenger died at the scene and has not been publicly identified. The occupants of the Volkswagen sustained minor injuries.

Family tribute

In a statement released through Suffolk Constabulary on Thursday, Miller’s family described her as a “truly special” person. They said she was a daughter, sister, aunt and cousin who was full of life and energy. A keen dancer who became a photographer, she loved heavy metal and rock music, as well as the occasional farming song. She enjoyed the freedom of driving but her passion was motorcycles, often riding her 125cc bike to photograph bikes or animals, frequently goats. The family noted she struggled with school but left with excellent grades and blossomed in workplace environments with her sharp mind and wit.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact the joint Norfolk and Suffolk serious collision investigation unit, quoting reference 37/61603/26.
