BBC's Celebrity Traitors is approaching its season two finale with a significant prize pot and notable participation fees for its star-studded cast.
Flat fee for celebrity participants
According to reports, celebrities receive a flat fee of £40,000 for appearing in the series, as stated by Marina Hyde on the Rest Is Entertainment podcast. However, 2025 contestant Joe Marler disclosed he was paid £30,000, indicating fees may vary. The BBC declined to comment on specific figures.
Prize pot and charity donations
The celebrities compete for up to £100,000, with the exact amount determined by their performance in challenges. As of publication, the 2026 prize pot stands at £59,500. Unlike the civilian version where contestants keep the winnings, celebrity winners donate their prize to a charity of their choice. In 2025, winner Alan Carr donated £87,500 to Neuroblastoma UK, a children's cancer charity.
Current series highlights
This season has featured memorable moments, including Richard E Grant accidentally revealing his Traitor status early on and Ross Kemp's viral reactions. The 2026 lineup includes Michael Sheen, Maya Jama, and James Acaster among others competing for the prize pot.
