Channel 4 Announces Andy Murray Hotel Renovation Series

Channel 4 has announced a three-part behind-the-scenes series following Andy Murray and his wife Kim as they undertake a major renovation of their luxury Scottish hotel, Cromlix House.

The series, titled "Our Scottish Hotel," will air in December and documents the most ambitious chapter in the hotel's history, including the construction of a new wing and two new restaurants.

Murray and his wife purchased the property near Dunblane in 2013 and opened it as a hotel in 2014. Channel 4 filmed for a year, capturing the couple and their team of 80 through a five-month closure for transformational work.

Kim Murray described the project as their biggest financial gamble since buying the hotel and highlighted the personal stories and discoveries during the process, noting it was the first time she and Andy had worked together on a project.

The Independent's travel writer Amelia Neath, who stayed at Cromlix earlier this year, noted the hotel's residential-style layout retains the feel of a countryside manor rather than a sterile hotel.
