The fourth series of Celebrity Race Across the World begins on BBC One on Wednesday 28 October at 8pm, with four celebrity pairs racing 4,660 miles from Kuching in Malaysian Borneo to Melbourne, Australia. The teams must rely only on local transport, a map, and a budget of £26 per day.

Contestants and teams

Brit Award-winning singer Ella Eyre competes with her childhood friend Nana. Former Soccer Saturday presenter Jeff Stelling teams up with his son Matt. Singer-songwriter and West End star Sam Ryder races alongside his best friend and tour manager Kaz. Influencer Princess Andre and her musician brother Junior Andre, children of Katie Price and Peter Andre, complete the line-up.

Start: Kuching, Malaysian Borneo

The race starts in Kuching, the capital of Sarawak on the island of Borneo. Known as "cat city" for its many feline statues, Kuching features the S-shaped Darul Hana Bridge, the floating Masjid India mosque, and a vibrant waterfront. The city's diverse ethnic communities shape its festivals and cuisine, notably Sarawak Laksa and Kolo Mee. From there, contestants navigate prehistoric jungles and heartlands to reach five checkpoints across three countries and two continents.

Finish: Melbourne, Australia

The finish line lies in Melbourne, Australia's cultural capital, famed for its pedestrianised laneways, street art, world-class coffee, and major sporting events such as the Australian Open and Formula 1 Grand Prix. The city also offers deep Aboriginal cultural experiences at the Bunjilaka Aboriginal Cultural Centre and the Ian Potter Centre.
