Monty Don has presented his final episode of Gardeners’ World, ending a 23-year tenure as host of the long-running BBC gardening programme. The 71-year-old signed off on Friday, 6 November 2026, after announcing in September that he felt “it was time to stop.”
Don took over from Alan Titchmarsh in 2002 and leaves behind a legacy of sharing his own garden and gardening life with viewers. In his farewell, he thanked the audience for “coming on that journey with me” and praised the “superb people” he worked with on the show.
