England manager Thomas Tuchel has left Chelsea forward Cole Palmer out of the squad for the November Nations League fixtures against Croatia and Spain, stating the 24-year-old "misses too many chances to impress" during international camps.
Two uncapped players receive first call-ups
Fulham's Josh King and Borussia Dortmund's Jobe Bellingham have been handed their first England call-ups. Both operate in attacking midfield, with Tuchel noting King's versatility across four forward positions. Jobe, 21, joins his brother Jude in the squad, potentially becoming the first siblings to feature together for England since Gary and Phil Neville.
Tuchel explains Palmer decision
"We have enough number 10s and we stick to the guys who were in the previous camp because we were happy with the two and a half weeks we had together," Tuchel said. "It counts when you are in camp and I just said last time that he misses too many opportunities to impress." Palmer was also omitted from the early autumn matches.
Full squad and injury absences
The 25-man squad includes goalkeepers Jordan Pickford, Jason Steele and James Trafford; defenders Trent Alexander-Arnold, Jarrad Branthwaite, Marc Guéhi, Lewis Hall, Ezri Konsa, Jarell Quansah, Djed Spence and Ben White; midfielders Elliot Anderson, Jobe Bellingham, Jude Bellingham, James Garner, Josh King, Myles Lewis-Skelly and Declan Rice; and forwards Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Eberechi Eze, Morgan Gibbs-White, Anthony Gordon, Harry Kane, Rio Ngumoha and Morgan Rogers.
Arsenal's Bukayo Saka misses out with a quadriceps injury expected to sideline him for six weeks. Bournemouth's Alex Scott, Manchester United's Marcus Rashford, Newcastle's Tino Livramento and Como's Trevoh Chalobah are also absent through injury.
