Australian coach Darren Cahill will depart Jannik Sinner's team at the end of the 2026 season, concluding a partnership that yielded five Grand Slam titles and the world number one ranking.

Cahill, 61, joined Sinner's camp in June 2022 alongside Italian coach Simone Vagnozzi when the Italian was just outside the top 10 and had never advanced beyond a Grand Slam quarterfinal. Together they guided Sinner to five major titles and 95 weeks at number one.

Sinner, 25, has not competed since winning his second consecutive Wimbledon title in July due to injury, allowing Alexander Zverev to overtake him atop the rankings. He is scheduled to return at the Six Kings Slam in Saudi Arabia next month.

Swedish coach Magnus Norman, longtime mentor of retired Stan Wawrinka, will join Sinner's team for the 2027 season.

"Darren has been an incredibly important part of my journey," Sinner said. "He has helped me grow both as a player and as a person, and his guidance will stay with me throughout my career." Cahill called working with Sinner "a special honour and privilege."
