A koala joey has been rescued after being found in the grip of a python in Australia. Wildlife rescuers responded to the incident and safely separated the young marsupial from the snake.
The joey was examined for injuries and is now in care. Such encounters between native wildlife are not uncommon in the region, though rescues of this nature remain relatively rare.
