Jordan Firstman's directorial debut "Club Kid" premiered to critical attention, with reviewers highlighting the film's blend of comedy and drama. The movie stars Firstman as Peter, a party promoter in 2016 New York who enjoys a hedonistic lifestyle with friend Sophie, played by Cara Delevingne. A decade later, Peter's routine is disrupted when a British woman arrives with a 10-year-old boy claiming to be his son.

Critic Alissa Wilkinson described the film as "snarky, sweet and ultimately heartfelt," praising Firstman's ability to refresh a familiar coming-of-age narrative. The review noted Firstman's magnetic performance and his transition from Instagram comedy sketches to feature filmmaking, citing his previous work in "I Love LA," "English Teacher," and "Rotting in the Sun."

"Club Kid" runs 2 hours and 2 minutes and is rated R. The film is distributed by A24.
