Buckingham Palace has signaled openness to Commonwealth realms removing King Charles as their head of state, according to recent reports. The stance reflects growing republican movements in several member nations.
The palace's position comes as countries including Australia, Canada, and Caribbean nations debate their constitutional ties to the British monarchy. Any change would require domestic legislative processes in each realm.
