Prince Andrew, known formally as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, has been generating more than £2,000 per month by renting out cottages on the Royal Lodge estate in Windsor Great Park.
Rental income despite minimal personal rent
The Duke of York receives the rental income while himself paying almost no rent for his occupancy of the main Royal Lodge residence, a grace-and-favour property provided by the Crown Estate.
Property details
Royal Lodge includes several smaller cottages on its grounds. The Prince has leased these out to tenants, creating a steady revenue stream from the Crown Estate property where he has lived since 2004.
