Trump Claims US Has World's Best Healthcare Plans

President Donald Trump asserted that the United States possesses the best healthcare plans globally, even acknowledging that coverage is not universal. During a Sunday morning interview with Larry Kudlow on Fox News, Trump emphasized the quality of American healthcare while critiquing alternative systems.

“We have the best healthcare plans in the world. Now that doesn’t cover everybody, but it covers a lot of people,” Trump stated. He further criticized socialized medicine, claiming it is ineffective, and expressed concerns regarding the future of healthcare plans for groups such as autoworkers.

The remarks come amid an intensive campaigning period for the upcoming November 3 midterm elections. Trump described his recent schedule as demanding, noting that he has conducted 14 rallies in just nine days as part of an effort to mobilize his base.

Despite his efforts to boost Republican prospects, recent polling suggests challenges ahead. A Politico poll indicated that Democratic voters appear highly motivated to vote specifically to oppose Trump, with 48 percent citing opposition as their primary motivation, compared to 38 percent of Republicans voting to support him.

Additionally, recent data shows Trump's approval ratings have reached record lows. A poll by the New York Times/Siena College placed his approval at 34 percent, the lowest for a president approaching midterms since Harry Truman in 1946. Trump has dismissed these figures, describing them as fake and claiming his actual support is closer to 60 percent.
