A British healthcare worker who tested positive for Ebola has been flown back to the United Kingdom for specialist medical care. The individual was working in a region affected by the viral disease before being diagnosed.
UK health authorities confirmed the patient's arrival and transfer to a high-level isolation unit equipped to handle viral hemorrhagic fevers. Public health officials stated that the risk to the general population remains very low, as strict infection control protocols are in place.
