Celebrity Cruises will offer three- to five-night Caribbean itineraries aboard its revamped Edge-class ship Celebrity Beyond starting in late 2028, marking the first time the line’s largest vessels have been deployed on short weekend getaways.
New Itineraries from Fort Lauderdale
From November 2028 through March 2029, Celebrity Beyond will operate nine three-night roundtrip sailings from Fort Lauderdale to the Bahamas, with prices starting at £308 per person. A longer five-night route departing on 28 December will visit George Town and Cozumel, starting at £599 per person. Some itineraries will include a stop at Royal Caribbean Group’s private Royal Beach Club Paradise Island in Nassau.
Ship Refurbishment Adds New Venues
Launched in 2022, Celebrity Beyond has a gross tonnage of 141,420 and capacity for 3,260 passengers. The ship is currently in dry dock until 17 November for a major refurbishment that will add the Orange Peel Bar & Grille, Tacos del Sol and Bora dining venues. It already features an expanded Magic Carpet bar, a large Sunset Bar, a Rooftop Garden and a three-deck indoor Eden piazza.
Other Ships Offer Shorter Sailings
Smaller vessels in the fleet will also run shorter Caribbean programs in winter 2028-29. Celebrity Eclipse will offer three-night weekend getaways from Fort Lauderdale, while Celebrity Summit will sail four- to five-night itineraries from Miami, with fares starting at £243 per person.
New Ship Celebrity Xcite to Debut
The line’s newest Edge-series ship, Celebrity Xcite, will spend its inaugural season in the Caribbean operating seven-night sailings from Miami starting in November 2028. Ports of call include St. Thomas, Antigua, the British Virgin Islands, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Maarten and the Dominican Republic. Prices start at £642 per person.
