Police Release Russell Brand Interviews After Rape Conviction

By Fatma Younis

The Metropolitan Police have released footage of Russell Brand being questioned by detectives over rape and sexual assault allegations, following the actor's conviction earlier this week. The interviews, conducted between 2023 and 2025, were made public on Thursday after a jury found Brand guilty of raping one fan and sexually assaulting three other women during the height of his entertainment career.

Brand was interviewed by police on four separate occasions. In one session, he acknowledged living a "very promiscuous life" but attributed the allegations to a "defamatory and fictitious documentary" that he claimed prompted the accusations against him.
