Aldi has launched its 2026 Christmas advert featuring the return of Kevin the Carrot and his daughter Chantenay, who search for a missing "Cauli-dog" made of cauliflower. The advert includes a functioning phone number that plays a voicemail from Kevin the Carrot.

The number, 03335775577, directs callers to a recording where Kevin says he is out searching for the pet, joking about the dog's diet. The storyline resolves with the family finding the dog inside a Christmas cracker.
John Lewis advert draws criticism
The campaign follows a trend of elaborate holiday adverts by UK supermarkets. John Lewis also debuted its 2026 advert this week, which critic Katie Rosseinsky argued feels out of step with the national mood amid cost-of-living pressures.
