Prince William and Kate 'breathe sigh of relief' over Sussex Christmas plans

Prince William and Princess Kate are reportedly relieved that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will spend Christmas in the United States with Meghan's family, according to former royal butler Grant Harrold.

Former butler comments on family dynamics

Harrold, who served King Charles, Queen Camilla, and the royal brothers until 2011, said the arrangement avoids an awkward family gathering and serves as a "get out of jail card" for King Charles.

Strained relations unlikely to heal soon

He believes strained relations between William and Harry will not be resolved any time soon, noting that a joint Christmas would have been "a difficult time."
