Take Me Out Reportedly Returning with Female Host

By Basant El-Faramawy

ITV dating show Take Me Out is reportedly heading back to screens, with producers planning a reboot without original host Paddy McGuinness.

Potential Hosts

Fremantle, the production company behind the reboot, wants a "glamorous female" to front the programme, according to a source speaking to The Sun. Emily Atack, Olivia Attwood and Leomie Anderson are among the names being considered. Maya Jama was also considered but her links to Love Island make that tricky.

Format and Development

The original format saw a bachelor face a panel of 30 single women who could switch off their lights if unimpressed. If lights stayed on, the man could pick a date to the "Isle of Fernando's" in Tenerife. Plans are in development and talks are underway with streamers including Netflix.

McGuinness Moves On

McGuinness will not be part of the revival; he is planning a YouTube channel chronicling his fitness journey after completing the 75 Hard challenge.
