U.S. officials in Japan have released the name of the Marine who died on Tuesday following a training incident. He was identified as Lance Cpl. Devin J. Hernandez, 25, of Maryland.
The announcement came Thursday as the incident remains under investigation. Officials said the death occurred during a training exercise, but provided no further details on the circumstances.
