League One side Fleetwood Town produced a stunning upset to eliminate Arsenal from the Carabao Cup, knocking out the Premier League champions in a major shock at Highbury Stadium.
Minnows topple giants
Fleetwood, sitting in the third tier of English football, defended resolutely and took their chances to secure a famous victory over Mikel Arteta's side. The result sends the Lancashire club into the quarter-finals of the competition.
Arsenal's cup hopes ended
The defeat marks a disappointing exit for Arsenal, who had fielded a strong lineup but were unable to break down Fleetwood's organised defence. The Gunners' hopes of adding the Carabao Cup to their trophy cabinet are over for another season.
