CVS Health announced plans to split into two separate publicly traded companies, separating its health services and pharmacy businesses from its retail pharmacy and consumer wellness operations.
The restructuring aims to create more focused entities, with one company concentrating on health services, including Aetna and Caremark, and the other operating the CVS Pharmacy retail chain and consumer health products.
