At least one person was killed and the suspect is dead following a suspected targeted shooting at a Citibank office complex in Tampa, Florida, on Wednesday, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff Calls Incident Targeted
Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister said on social media that preliminary information indicates the incident was targeted. Authorities have not specified the nature of the threat or how the victim and suspect died.
Large Law Enforcement Response
The incident prompted a significant law enforcement presence. A law enforcement source told ABC News that agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are responding to the scene. Deputies are clearing the building and providing updates as they become available.
Employees Directed to Reunification Site
Citibank employees were asked to gather at a reunification site in the parking lot of a nearby Sheraton hotel. The sheriff's office said the situation is developing and urged the public to check back for updates.
