Two people are dead, including the suspect, after a shooting at a Citibank office complex in suburban Tampa, Florida, on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.
Active Threat Response
Deputies responded to reports of an “active threat” at the sprawling campus, which comprises four three-story buildings housing thousands of employees. Television footage showed workers evacuating in long lines as officers swarmed the area.
Targeted Incident
Sheriff Chad Chronister said on X that the shooting is believed to be “a targeted incident” and confirmed the suspect is deceased. It was not immediately known whether anyone else was injured.
