Ukraine releases bodycam video of deadly Russian double-tap bombing

Ukraine's national police have released bodycam footage they say captures the moments between two Russian bomb strikes that killed at least 40 people at an aid centre and a shelter in the southern village of Kamyshuvakha, Zaporizhzhia region.

Footage shows residents fleeing to shelter before second strike

The video, recorded by a police officer who was among those killed, shows residents walking amid rubble after an initial strike on Monday before entering an underground shelter near a school where humanitarian aid was being distributed. A military radio warning of incoming glide bombs is heard, and seconds later the shelter is hit, ending the recording.

Death toll rises as search continues

President Volodymyr Zelensky said more than 30 people may still be trapped under the debris as rescue operations entered a third day. Ukraine said nine gliding bombs, some weighing 3,000kg, struck the village as people gathered for aid. The state emergencies service also published video of a massive crater left by the attack.

Zelensky condemns lack of global reaction

In a social media post, Zelensky described the strikes as a war crime, saying the first hit aid recipients and the second targeted rescuers and police. He criticized what he called very little reaction from the world. The Russian military has not publicly commented on the incident.
