Hollywood figures including Pedro Pascal, Kim Kardashian, and Rosie O'Donnell took to social media to celebrate Democratic gains in the 2022 U.S. midterm elections, which saw Trump-backed candidates underperform across key battlegrounds.
O'Donnell declares 'regime is over'
Rosie O'Donnell posted a video declaring that Trump's "regime is over" following the election results, which denied Republicans the sweeping victories many had predicted. The comedian and former talk-show host was among the most vocal critics of the former president during his term.

Actor Pedro Pascal, known for roles in "The Mandalorian" and "The Last of Us," shared messages supporting Democratic candidates and celebrating the outcome. Reality star and businesswoman Kim Kardashian also posted about the elections, urging followers to vote and later reacting to the results.
Midterm 'bloodbath' averted for Democrats
The midterm elections, widely forecast as a potential Republican wave, instead produced a divided Congress with Democrats retaining Senate control and Republicans securing only a narrow House majority.
