Yemeni government forces have claimed control of a strategic mountain range in the northern province of al-Jawf, according to reports from the conflict zone.
The claim marks a potential shift in the ongoing fighting in the region, where government troops have been engaged against Houthi forces for control of key terrain.
Al-Jawf province has been a major frontline in Yemen's years-long conflict, with its mountainous terrain providing tactical advantages to forces holding the high ground.
No independent verification of the claim was immediately available, and Houthi authorities have not commented on the reported development.
