Lorraine Kelly Show Pulled After Studio Power Outage

Lorraine Kelly’s ITV morning chat show was pulled from its regular Wednesday slot after a power outage at the London studio where it is filmed. The Scottish presenter, 66, announced the last-minute cancellation in a video posted to Instagram, telling viewers that technicians were working to restore power by late morning.

Power outage disrupts schedule

Kelly said the outage meant her programme, which usually airs weekdays at 9:30am on ITV and ITVX, would not broadcast. She noted that ITV’s earlier show Good Morning Britain had aired as normal and that This Morning would still go on, albeit slightly later. “It’s a bit of a shame,” Kelly said. “I was really looking forward to talking to Sharleen Spiteri from Texas, but we shall reschedule.”

Show to return Thursday

The presenter added that the show would return on Thursday at its usual time. Last year, the programme’s runtime was halved from one hour to 30 minutes and its annual run reduced to 30 weeks following budget cuts, a change Kelly initially described as “heartbreaking” but later said had “worked out really well.”
