Katie Miller, wife of White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller, blamed mothers being too busy to vote for Republican losses in the midterm elections, while admitting she herself did not cast a ballot.
Miller Admits She Did Not Vote
In an interview with CBS News' Norah O'Donnell, Miller said moms are too busy raising children to go to the polls. She explained she did not vote in Virginia because voting would disclose her address, preferring safety over exercising her right.
Safety Concerns and Past Incidents
Miller previously called police in September 2025 over chalk messages outside her home criticizing her husband, describing them as "terroristic threats," though a police report obtained by Zeteo characterized the messages as non-threatening.
Contradictory Remarks on Family Size
Hours before the interview, Miller posted on X that conservatives having more children is an advantage, writing that Election Day makes her want more kids to "cancel out the votes of the America-hating leftists."
Democratic Gains in Republican Strongholds
Democrats are poised to take control of both the House and Senate after sweeping midterm victories in traditionally Republican states, including Texas, North Carolina, South Carolina, Iowa, Kansas, and Ohio.
Trump Responds to Midterm Defeat
President Donald Trump acknowledged Democrats "did a good job" but refused to blame himself or his low approval ratings, claiming on Truth Social that he would have won in a landslide if he had been on the ballot.
