Three American astronauts aboard the International Space Station have voted in the U.S. midterm elections via electronic ballot, according to a video posted by U.S. Space Force Colonel Anil Menon on his X account.
Voting from orbit
Menon, who also serves as an emergency physician in Houston, said he cast his vote in Harris County, Texas. The other two Americans on the station also submitted their ballots electronically.
Election stakes
The midterm elections will determine control of the House and Senate, as well as governorships and local offices. The contests are widely viewed as a referendum on the Trump administration with two years remaining in the president's final term.
