British Airways has resumed direct flights to Dubai after an eight-month suspension, with a daily service from London Heathrow restarting on 3 November for the winter season.
The route was grounded at the end of February following missile strikes between the United States and Iran. Flights were initially scheduled to resume on 25 October but were delayed by a week.
A British Airways spokesperson said the airline plans to operate two daily flights during the summer 2027 season. Meanwhile, flights to Abu Dhabi will not resume until the end of next year, leaving Etihad as the only carrier offering direct UK-Abu Dhabi services from London Heathrow and Manchester.
The UK government updated travel advice for 16 Middle Eastern countries on 27 October, warning of possible flight cancellations, airspace closures and travel disruptions due to the unpredictable regional situation.
