Whoopi Goldberg sharply criticized Donald Trump for focusing on the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool during his final campaign push ahead of the U.S. midterm elections. On Tuesday's episode of "The View," Goldberg said Trump should have been rallying support for candidates instead of discussing the water feature he claimed to have mismanaged.
During a Monday speech, Trump jokingly proposed renaming the Reflecting Pool after himself and presented photographs of corroded pipework, blaming the previous administration for its condition. Goldberg responded that the president was "talking about the pool that he messed up," while co-host Joy Behar likened his behavior to that of "the president of a condo board" rather than the nation's leader.
