Burnham Considers Ban on Ketchup Sachets in Restaurants and Cafes

By Basant El-Faramawy

Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham is considering a ban on single-use condiment sachets, including ketchup, in restaurants and cafes across the region.

The proposal aims to reduce plastic waste from the small packets that are typically used once and discarded.

If implemented, the measure would affect food service establishments throughout Greater Manchester, requiring them to find alternatives to the ubiquitous sachets.
