Vice President JD Vance joked that he is "raising a Democrat" while campaigning in Rome, New York, on Tuesday. Speaking at a rally for congressional candidates Anthony Constantino and Kailee Buller ahead of the midterm elections, Vance shared an anecdote about his four-year-old daughter, Mirabel.
Toy drive story
Vance told the crowd he asked Mirabel to pick out toys to donate for a holiday toy drive. She returned with two of her brother's toys, prompting Vance to quip: "I realize that despite my best efforts, ladies and gentlemen, I have apparently raised a Democrat. Stealing her brother's toys to give to somebody else."
