TV presenter Maya Jama has been praised as a "true winner" after announcing she would match the prize money she would have won on Celebrity Traitors with a donation to her chosen charity, Action for Children.
Finale outcome
Jama, 32, reached the grand finale of the BBC show but was banished at the final roundtable, leaving contestant King Kenny as the last traitor. Actor Sebastian Croft and comedian Romesh Ranganathan ultimately won the £83,000 prize pot, splitting it between their charities Choose Love and the Refugee Council.
Charitable gesture
In a post on X on Saturday, Jama revealed she had donated the amount she would have received had she won to Action for Children, which supports children to have a "safe and happy childhood." Fans responded positively, calling her move "class" and praising her generosity and choice of charity.
Show ratings
The series attracted a peak audience of 15 million viewers for the BBC. The civilian version of The Traitors is set to return for a fifth series in January 2027.
