Amazon has discounted the previous-generation Fire HD 10 tablet by 53 percent following the launch of its new Alexa-branded tablet lineup. The deal brings the price down to $72.99 from the original $154.99, marking the lowest price ever for the device.
Tablet specifications
The Fire HD 10 features a 10.1-inch 1080p Full HD display, 3GB of RAM, and up to 13 hours of battery life. It includes 5-megapixel front and rear cameras, built-in Alexa voice control, and support for an optional stylus. The tablet runs Amazon's Fire OS, which uses the Amazon Appstore instead of Google Play.
Strong customer ratings
The model has accumulated more than 34,000 five-star reviews on Amazon. The retailer notes that the discount applies only while supplies last, as the older Fire tablets are being phased out.
