Glasner Threatens to Quit as Forest Manager After Brentford Defeat

By Islam El-Sakka

Oliver Glasner threatened to walk away from Nottingham Forest unless the club makes major changes following a 2-0 defeat at Brentford that left the team second from bottom in the Premier League.

Glasner's Ultimatum

The Austrian, appointed as Forest's fifth head coach in less than a year, said the club could soon be looking for a sixth manager unless a "s*** situation" improves. An own goal by Nikola Milenkovic and a late strike by Igor Thiago sealed the loss, Forest's fourth in their last five games.

"If you lose four of the last five games, it's not good enough," Glasner said. "It's now time that we change things, that I change things, and that's what I will do." He added that he had made too many compromises and would now operate with "zero, zero" compromises. If players do not buy in, "the sixth manager will come in." Glasner said he could start elsewhere in two weeks but chose to stay, though he warned the situation mirrors last season's struggles and requires rebuilding from the bottom up.

Brentford's Victory

The win ended Brentford's four-match winless run and marked their 100th Premier League game at the Gtech Stadium, lifting them to sixth place. Manager Keith Andrews described it as the team's best win of the season, praising smart play and leadership from his players.
