TV presenter Maya Jama stunned fans with an elaborate Halloween costume portraying Olympic champion Mo Farah, complete with a bald cap, his actual Olympic sportswear, and gold medals.
Costume Details
Jama, 32, shared photos and a video on Instagram showing her transformation into the long-distance runner, writing that she wanted to pay homage to "our Olympic champ and all round legend." Farah himself joined a video call and reacted with delight, joking that he initially thought the costumed figure was his own reflection.
Celebrity Reactions
Fellow celebrities including pop star Jade Thirlwall, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, actor Letitia Wright, and singer Paloma Faith praised the accuracy of the costume and makeup. The official London Marathon account quipped that they thought Jama was announcing a marathon entry.
Charity Donation
After finishing as a runner-up on the BBC show "Celebrity Traitors," Jama announced she would match the prize money she would have won — £83,000 — with a donation to Action for Children, a charity supporting vulnerable children.
Celebrity Traitors Finale
Jama reached the grand finale of the reality series but was banished at the final roundtable without revealing her identity as a Traitor. Comedian Romesh Ranganathan and actor Sebastian Croft ultimately split the prize pot between their chosen charities.
