James Acaster has spoken out about his dramatic exit from the 2026 series of Celebrity Traitors, describing his final roundtable as a "shocker" that was "sprung on" him.
The 41-year-old comedian struggled to defend himself during the penultimate episode's roundtable after discussion turned to former EastEnders star Ross Kemp's "murder in plain sight." Acaster eventually told fellow contestants: "I was made a traitor without wanting to be."
Speaking on the companion show Uncloaked, Acaster told host Ed Gamble he had entered the roundtable thinking he had "no heat on me whatsoever." He added: "It was sprung on me."
