Hull City maintained their unbeaten home record but saw their winless run stretch to eight games after a 2-2 draw with Ipswich Town at the MKM Stadium on Saturday. The visitors dominated possession early and took the lead through Florentino Luis in the 22nd minute, only for Hull to fight back and briefly lead before Julio Enciso's late strike earned Ipswich a point.
First-half dominance
Ipswich controlled the opening period, cutting through Hull's defence repeatedly. Florentino Luis slipped past Nobel Mendy and beat Konstantinos Tzolakis to open the scoring. The Tractor Boys thought they had doubled their advantage when Enciso headed in from a corner in the 37th minute, but referee Thomas Kirk disallowed the effort for a foul by Abdul Fatawu on Oli McBurnie.
Second-half swing
Hull improved after the break and equalised in the 58th minute when Tim Iroegbunam raced down the right and fired home. The momentum shifted further when McBurnie struck a 68th-minute free-kick past Christian Walton to put the hosts ahead. However, the lead lasted just six minutes as Enciso worked his way through the Hull back line and fired a stylish leveller from just outside the area.
Both sides missed decent chances in the closing minutes and settled for a share of the spoils.
