The pair, who went public with their romance in 2024, allegedly split late last year but remain committed to business partnerships and stay close friends, the outlet reported. Neither Belichick nor Hudson has publicly commented on the breakup.

Belichick, 74, and Hudson, 25, first met on a flight in 2021 and were romantically linked in 2023 before making their relationship public the following year. Their nearly 50-year age gap drew intense media scrutiny. Belichick currently serves as head football coach at the University of North Carolina, while Hudson is a beauty pageant contestant and former cheerleader.

The couple made multiple public appearances over the past year, including at the 2026 Kentucky Derby, which marked Hudson's last Instagram post featuring Belichick. Hudson has also been seen on the sidelines at UNC football games. News of the alleged breakup follows weeks of speculation about Hudson's involvement with the Tar Heels program after reports emerged that Belichick had asked university staff to copy her on emails sent to him.

In a September interview with The Wall Street Journal, Belichick denied Hudson holds any official role with the football program, a position the university has previously confirmed. He explained he requested staff forward personal appearance requests to Hudson so he could coordinate them outside university duties. Belichick said the email was leaked and mischaracterized as evidence of her broad involvement, calling that portrayal a "flat-out lie." He acknowledged Hudson helps with some scheduling but emphasized it involves no North Carolina football responsibilities.
Previous interview incident
Hudson previously drew attention when she interrupted Belichick during a 2025 CBS Sunday Morning interview. When journalist Tony Dokoupil asked how the pair met, Hudson interjected from off-camera to say Belichick would not answer. Dokoupil later noted in a voiceover that the topic was one neither was comfortable discussing.
