Halloween week has arrived on Strictly Come Dancing with a new format twist that will see three couples face a dance-off in the results show, with the judges voting to eliminate one pair rather than save them. The change was announced during last Sunday's results show and applies only to this weekend's Halloween episode, after which the competition will return to the traditional two-couple dance-off.
Eleven Couples Compete with Spooky Routines
The remaining 11 couples will perform themed dances including a Ghostbusters tango, a Practical Magic samba, and a couples' choice routine involving puppets from presenter Will Best. The competition remains tight, with six different couples having topped the leaderboard so far this series.
Recent Exits and Bottom-Two Battles
Former footballer Shaun Wright-Phillips was eliminated last week, while actress Jaime Winstone faced her second dance-off of the season just one week after tying for first place on the leaderboard. The Halloween twist adds extra tension as three couples will now dance again for survival before the judges decide who leaves.
