European trainers dominated the juvenile turf races on Friday at the 2026 Breeders' Cup at Keeneland, setting up a potential clean sweep of all seven turf events on Saturday.
Friday's juvenile turf sweep
Aidan O'Brien secured a juvenile double with victories for Haffner in the Juvenile Turf and Sun Goddess in the Juvenile Fillies Turf. George Boughey's Libertango, ridden by champion jockey Billy Loughnane, won the Juvenile Turf Sprint after Loughnane replaced Flavien Prat as a late substitute. The three wins gave European-trained runners a clean sweep of Friday's juvenile turf races.
Record within reach
European-trained horses have never won all seven turf races at a single Breeders' Cup, coming closest with six victories four years ago. Saturday's card offers another chance to break that record.
