England's women's rugby team, the Red Roses, ended the WXV Global Series on a high note with a dominant 55-12 victory over the United States in New Jersey on Saturday. The win came after back-to-back losses to Canada, the team's first consecutive defeats in a decade.

Moloney-MacDonald leads with four tries

Wing Claudia Moloney-MacDonald was the standout performer, crossing the try line four times. She opened the scoring in the fifth minute and added three more as England's attack overwhelmed the USA defense. Props Mackenzie Carson and Maud Muir provided aggressive runs, while sweeping passes created space for Moloney-MacDonald's hat-trick.

Captain Jones hails team resilience

Captain Meg Jones, who also scored a try, said the team wanted to impose themselves after the USA entered the match with momentum from recent wins. "We became unstoppable and I think that's where the tries came from," Jones said. She emphasized the squad's hunger to improve and learn from the tour's feedback.

Mitchell refreshes lineup after Canada losses

Head coach John Mitchell made six changes to the starting XV following the defeats to Canada, keeping fullback Ellie Kildunne on the bench until the 61st minute. The refreshed side responded with a comprehensive performance, with tries also coming from Mia Venner, Bryony Field, Maddie Feaunati and Sadia Kabeya.
