Four men are on trial at Winchester Crown Court accused of sexually assaulting a woman who was drugged by her then-husband, Philip Young, over several years at their home in Swindon, Wiltshire.
Husband's Guilty Plea
Philip Young, 50, has pleaded guilty to multiple charges of drugging and sexually abusing his former wife, Joanne Young, 49, and advertising her online for other men. The prosecution said he "loaned" her out to men who responded to the adverts.
Sanderson-Doyle's Account
Connor Sanderson-Doyle, 32, denies sexual assault by penetration and sexual touching in June 2016. In police interviews read to the jury, he said he contacted Young via a Craigslist adult advert for a woman tied and blindfolded. He believed he was meeting a couple acting out a kink, kept a balaclava on during the visit, and found Joanne Young restrained as pictured. He heard her say "No" but thought she wanted a different act, not to stop. He left when he sensed she was uncomfortable, stating he thought he had consent and did not know she was drugged.
Macksoni's Account
Norman Macksoni, 48, denies one count of rape in February 2017. He told police he met Young through a swingers' website under the username "dark stranger" and described a thriving "cuckold community." He said Joanne Young was "totally coherent," the encounter was "just a sex meet," and he did not wear a condom because Young told him she disliked them.
Other Defendants
Richard Wilkins, 62, has pleaded not guilty to one count of rape and one of assault by penetration. Mohammed Hassan, 38, has pleaded not guilty to one count of sexual touching. The trial continues.
