An independent investigation has been launched into the Metropolitan Police's handling of a letter related to allegations made by Thomas Markle, the father of the Duchess of Sussex.
The police watchdog, the Independent Office for Police Conduct, will examine the force's actions concerning the correspondence, which is connected to claims made by Meghan Markle's father.
