Paris Hilton has responded to online criticism after sharing her family's "Beauty and the Beast"-themed Halloween costumes for 2026. In an Instagram post, Hilton appeared as Princess Belle in a yellow ball gown, while her husband Carter Reum dressed as the Beast. Their three-year-old son Phoenix wore a Lumière costume, and daughter London was dressed as Chip, the talking teacup.
Criticism Over Costume Choices
Some commenters questioned whether Hilton had taken center stage at her daughter's expense, suggesting the children should have played the lead roles. One fan wrote that the holiday should focus on the kids, while another asked why London was not cast as Belle.
Hilton Responds
Hilton defended the choice, stating that London had selected Chip because it was her favorite character. She shared a video from content creator Sebastian Soto, who supported her, saying London appeared happy and that Hilton was creating magical memories for her children. Hilton captioned the post: “When your daughter’s favorite character from ‘Beauty and the Beast’ is Chip, you let her be Chip!”
Addams Family Theme
Earlier in the week, the family also recreated "The Addams Family" for another Halloween shoot, with Hilton as Morticia, Reum as Gomez, London as Wednesday, and Phoenix as Pugsley. That post drew mostly positive reactions, with fans jokingly renaming the holiday "Parisween.”
