The limited-edition Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Nintendo Switch 2 console is back in stock at Amazon after selling out quickly following its 29 October release. The console celebrates four decades of the action-adventure series with unique gold-and-black Triforce designs on the hardware, dock, and green Joy‑Cons.
Distinctive design details
The special edition matches the standard Switch 2 technically but features a box with a 40th‑anniversary badge, black and gold triangles representing the Triforce on the console back, and green Joy‑Cons with darker‑green Triforce logos. The left Joy‑Con shows an early Link design holding the logo, while the right Joy‑Con bears an image of Zelda. The dock carries a large central Triforce symbol, and a matching limited‑edition Pro controller is also available.
Availability and pricing
As of publication, Amazon is the only retailer with the console in stock. Argos, Currys, the Nintendo Store, Smyths, and Very all list the edition as sold out. The article notes affiliate links for purchase.
Ocarina of Time remake launches soon
Coinciding with the anniversary, a full 3D remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time releases on 5 November as a Switch 2 exclusive. The remake includes reimagined visuals, a refreshed soundtrack, and modernised gameplay.
