British MPs have expressed no confidence in the government's strategy to tackle the obesity crisis, telling Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham that addressing the issue should become his "personal mission."
The criticism came during a parliamentary session where lawmakers questioned the effectiveness of current policies and urged Burnham, who oversees health devolution in the region, to take a more direct leadership role.
Burnham has previously called for stronger national action on obesity, but MPs argue that without a clear personal commitment from him, progress will remain stalled.
