Police Scotland Investigates Epstein Visit to Balmoral with Prince Andrew

By Fatma Younis

Police Scotland has confirmed it received information concerning a visit by the late financier Jeffrey Epstein and Prince Andrew, also known as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, to the Balmoral estate in the Scottish Highlands. The force said inquiries are ongoing but at a very early stage.

Investigation at Early Stage

A Police Scotland spokesperson stated that active inquiries are evidence-led, with the needs of victim survivors at the heart of the investigation. The force declined to confirm details of the ongoing inquiries, saying it would be inappropriate to comment further.

Allegations of Trafficking

The Daily Express reported that the inquiries relate to claims that women were trafficked to the royal estate during the visit. Ghislaine Maxwell, a convicted associate of Epstein, was also present at Balmoral at the time.

Previous Evidence

Photographs previously released by the U.S. Department of Justice appear to show Prince Andrew and Epstein on a shooting trip at the estate. The investigation focuses on the time spent by the three individuals at the king’s private residence.
