Police are investigating a visit by convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein to Balmoral Castle, the Scottish estate of the British monarch, alongside Prince Andrew and Ghislaine Maxwell.
Investigation Launched
Authorities have opened an inquiry into the stay, which reportedly occurred during Epstein's association with the Duke of York. The investigation focuses on the circumstances surrounding the visit and any potential offenses linked to the individuals involved.
Key Figures
Prince Andrew, known formally as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, and Maxwell, who was convicted in 2021 for her role in Epstein's trafficking network, were both present during the visit. Epstein died in custody in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal sex-trafficking charges.
